The Enterprise Agreements for both Teachers and Support Staff are reaching a climax in the coming weeks as the voting period for each proposed Agreement is now open.
The two distinct Agreements (Teaching and Support staff) are negotiated by different SCEA staff from across our school communities. However, Chief Executive Officer Dr Graeme Cross, Chief Human Resources Officer Mr Sidney Rajanayagam and Mr Matthew King (Staff Committee Chair and Head of Swan Trade Training Centre) have remained as the three constants in each of these meetings – both for the Teacher’s Agreement and the Support Staff Agreement.
Over the past fortnight, these three individuals have travelled to each of the SCEA schools to spend time with staff as part of the Enterprise Agreement Roadshows. Dr Cross explained the changes to the proposed Agreements and answered questions from staff present for the meetings. The final roadshow meeting took place this week at Kalamunda Christian School on Monday, 27 March. Dr Cross also compiled a 13-minute video before these ‘roadshows’ for staff who were not able to attend an information session.
With the voting process only taking a few minutes to complete, the impetus for all eligible staff to take part was emphasised by Dr Cross at each one of the roadshows.
Earlier this week, all staff were sent an email with details on how to participate in the online voting process. The voting period will remain open until 5.00 pm on Thursday 6 April 2023.
