SCEA staff, past and present, would be aware that the long wait for a permanent home for SCEA’s growing school in Bennett Springs is reaching a climax – after more than 20 years of waiting!
After securing the excellent site in Bennett Springs Drive in late-2020, Mr Michael Bolan (Principal – Beechboro Christian School), and the SCEA team led by SCEA’s Chief Executive Officer Dr Graeme Cross, and SCEA’s Chief Financial Officer Mr Rowan Joubert have navigated COVID-delays and supply-chain shortages to arrive at this week’s milestone – the completion of the Stage 1 build of the Kindergarten and Pre-Primary classrooms.
The Occupancy Certificate has now been received, ensuring that the new site will be set for young learners before the end of Term 3.
Special thanks to BCS Business Manager, Mr Ian Ludlow, who has been overseeing many aspects of this project to ensure its success!
We are also grateful for the work of Dr Martin Bent, who has assisted with this project.
This project will continue with the relocation of existing transportable buildings, which will be completed in several stages by early 2024. The photographs below show the new classrooms and walkways that Mr Bolan and his team will be moving into over the coming week.
