All of the SCEA schools celebrated Father’s Day recently, with the different communities adding their own flavour to the proceedings.
Swan Christian College (SCC) took on the massive responsibility of cooking 600 Bacon & Egg Rolls for the 300 hungry dads and their children while they enjoyed Jenga, Mini-Golf and Sack Races.
Kalamunda Christian School (KCS) asked their students to ‘Dress as their Dad’ for the day, with many manly tasks being attempted prior to a morning tea of Krispy Kreme donuts!
Beechboro Christian School (BCS) contemplated a ‘Busy Bee’ working party in their brand-new premises on Bennett Springs Drive – however, the thought of complying with the Health & Safety implications may have proved too onerous! The second option of breakfast and photos garnered much more popularity with the multicultural crowd of dads and their children…
Southern Hills Christian College (SHCC) braved the misty morning with coffees and smiles as the College took the time to honour the men in the lives of all the students at the Bedfordale campus.
Northshore Christian Grammar School (NCGS) opted for toy car races, with a very large crowd gathering in the undercover area to see who could race the fastest car down the track.
Mundaring Christian College (MCC) students sang a song about how special their dads were to them and then took part in ‘fake shaving classes’ and other activities prepared by class teachers.
Ellenbrook Christian College (ECC) arranged for Year 10 media students to film student responses to questions about their wonderful dads – the video can be found below.
Here are a few photos from the festive events across our schools – keep an eye out for a recently retired SCEA Principal now enjoying grandparent duties at SCC!
