More than 1,300 people gathered on 2 August 2024 at the Crown Ballroom to pray for our local, state and federal communities.
The WA Governor Mr Christopher John Dawson AC APM welcomed school students, church groups and long-time supporters of this event with his opening remarks before handing over to keynote speaker Mr Mike Raiter, who spoke on the ‘Parable of the Talents’ from Matthew Chapter 25.
The tradition of the Governor’s Prayer Breakfast began more than thirty years ago in Western Australia (WA) and has grown in number each year.
All of the SCEA schools invited students and representatives to be present at the breakfast, along with SCEA Head Office representatives, Board Members and parent committee representatives.
The 7:00 am start meant an early wake-up call for students and staff all over the Perth metropolitan region, who finished the morning by participating in the Christian song ‘I Speak Jesus’ sung by The Kings College, Wellard students.
All SCEA representatives then headed to their respective schools to begin their Friday feeling enlightened, uplifted and well-fed!
