Association Meeting gives praise for 2024 and looks forward to 2025

Last week’s SCEA Association meeting held at Swan Christian College (SCC) allowed long-time supporters and representatives of Parent Committees across SCEA’s seven schools to give thanks for God’s provision during the 2024 year.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr Graeme Cross outlined the activities taking place at each school and gave a sneak peek into the new priorities that will form the basis of the 2025-2030 Strategic Plan – Unity, Reach and Capacity.

A snapshot of the CEO’s presentation:

  • Beechboro Christian School (BCS) Official Opening to be held on Monday, 11 November 2024 at their Bennett Springs address.
  • Ellenbrook Christian College (ECC) has named Mrs Michelle Schouten as the new College Principal for 2025.

In the Head Office, a slew of new initiatives are keeping the team busy

  • All SCEA staff will be moving to Apple products in the coming years. Full implementation plans will be developed in Term 1, 2025.
  • Enterprise Agreements are reaching their finale after significant work from senior staff.
  • New Capital Projects Plans are being developed for many SCEA schools.
  • New ICT infrastructure is being procured for SCEA schools through the ICT Roadmap Program.

After a presentation on the three strategic priorities of unity, capacity, and reach, Dr Cross handed it over to Mrs Caroline Blake, who provided an update on behalf of the Board Recruitment Committee (BRC).

The night started with a devotion from Dr Darnelle Pretorius about the ‘Lighthouse’ outreach program in the secondary years at SCC, and worship from Mr Deitrich and Mrs Friend. Some wonderful conversation and fine cuisine was ably prepared by the Hospitality team of Swan Christian College (SCC).
