Salaries and Payments over the Christmas period

The recently negotiated pay increase taking effect on 1 December 2024 applies to all teachers and support staff covered by the Enterprise Agreements.

As such, the first instance of this increase will be paid in the 11 December 2024 payment to staff.

For staff employed on individual contracts, the salary increases will be effective from 1 January 2025.

The last pay cycle for 2024 (ending 25 December 2024) will be processed on 18 December 2024 and will be paid early.

The first pay cycle of 2025 will be paid on 8 January 2025.

For employees who will be working at SCEA as of 1 February 2025, there is a bonus ‘Cost of Living’ payment coming your way. This payment will be made on 19 February 2025, and the amount for the ‘Cost of Living’ payment will be calculated at 2% of each employee’s salary (as calculated on 1 December 2023). This payment will also include the equivalent amount of superannuation.
