International Women’s Day across SCEA

Last week, on March 8th, we marked International Women’s Day—a global celebration of the invaluable contributions of women in society.

At Swan Christian Education Association (SCEA), we recognise the profound contributions of women across our organisation.

With 69.93% female staff serving across our eight SCEA sites in Perth, we see the dedication, wisdom, and care that women bring to our community every day.

Women serve in every capacity across our schools—teaching, leading, nurturing, and supporting students and colleagues alike. They help shape young minds, model Christ-like character, and contribute to a strong and thriving learning environment.

SCEA’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr Graeme Cross paid tribute this week to all women within SCEA, saying:

“Our organisation was founded by Bill and Joan Grosser, and we often reference the pioneering tenacity of Joan in the very early days of SCEA. Our first Principal was Mrs Valerie Campbell, who led Midland Christian School for more than twenty years and made an incredible contribution to our organisation during her time as Principal. We continue to see amazing women lead at every level of our schools and the SCEA Head Office, and our goal is to continue to promote women now and into the future as we grow to serve our communities across Perth for God’s glory.”
