Mr Paul Fettis (Manager of Risk, Governance & Assurance) comes to us from Strive Community Services and has held senior positions in several well-known organisations in Australia and South Africa, including Silver Chain here in WA. He attends Christian Revival Church in Wangara.
His sense of humour has already endeared him to many in the SCEA Head Office this week, and he is already working towards making the Risk Register process across our schools ‘fun and exciting!’

Stay tuned for a Risk update in a coming edition of SCEA News.
In other news, did you know that SCEA is owed around $3 million by parents who have not paid fees or are in arrears?
Our Finance team in the SCEA Head Office, Business Managers and finance staff in our schools have been working hard under the leadership of Mr Rowan Joubert (Chief Financial Officer, SCEA) over the past twelve months, implementing strategies to lower our outstanding debtors position and serve our schools more effectively.
Overall, the consolidated financial position for our SCEA schools has improved significantly over the past 12 months through the work of our Credit Control Coordinator, Ms Mariska Dunmore, and our debtor position has reduced from $3.6 million to $2.9 million.
This fantastic result deserves to be celebrated, as an improved financial situation for SCEA schools will help make available funds to invest in projects and resources for our schools.
This week, we welcomed Mr Michael Mendoza to the SCEA Head Office, who will work as an Accounts Receivable Officer for SCEA.
He will be working alongside Mariska in the debt management area.
Michael is originally from Laguna (near Manila in The Philippines) and attends KingdomCity Church in Canning Vale.
