Celebration Day participants received the 48-page Strategic Plan document for SCEA (2025-2030), and Dr Graeme Cross spoke during his address about the common virtues that have now been formulated for our SCEA community as we move into a new chapter of SCEA’s history.

The new set of common virtues demonstrates the strong alignment between the SCEA Board and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), but what does this mean for us in our schools and Head Office today?
We have a shared SCEA vision, mission and virtues, and now work must be undertaken to consider how these will ‘look and feel’ as we implement them across our SCEA sites.
So will I see a new SCEA billboard on my school site next week?
No.
While we are keen for parents or visitors to walk into one of our schools and experience a common look and feel from their very first interaction, the larger concepts of logos, colours, and school branding are very much a ‘work in progress’, and our SCEA schools will continue to operate as usual in the coming months.
We want our families across SCEA schools to know that we are united around our purpose and vision for education.
We have agreed on the words that will unify us. The next step (which will take some time) is to determine how this will look in our schools.
Big decisions should always be considered and planned so all SCEA schools and the SCEA Head Office will take the required time to get things in order across the SCEA system. The SLT will work closely with schools to ensure that the result reflects who we are and our commitment to authentic and excellent Christian education.
